This is what happens in the dream. I am asleep. (Is it weird to dream that you are asleep? That's a whole other question!)
I am woken by the sound of large quantities of post falling through my letterbox.
'Oh, good!' I think. 'That will be lots of lovely acceptance letters!'
As I go through the pile, they all turn out to be rejections - and from publications I've never submitted to and never even heard of!
Is this normal, or am I starting to lose my perspective a tiny little bit?!

I've also added a few more links to my selection. They are publications that I have found helpful. They're not necessarily mainstream - but my writing isn't very mainstream so it works for me!

I often dream that I'm asleep....freaky.
And I dream that the doorbell rings. So I have to get up, from the dream of the dream and answer it...at 4am.

Oh good - I'm glad I'm not the only one who dreams I'm asleep! Sadly - I only dream about Simon when I'm awake!
