Keep On ...

... running!

I've been running since Thursday lunchtime and I've only just stopped.

Having spent Thursday morning in the office I then had to dash off to the hospital for 2 O'clock. The invalid is now out of intensive care and on a normal ward, which is very good news although she's now distinctly grumpy about having to be in hospital at all!

Then off to the other side of town for a meeting - just making it time for 3 O'clock. Then back in the car to do a mad dash to Cambridge for Question Time. I've done this a couple of times now as part of the volunteering I do for the BBC. Great fun but hard work and a late night.

Friday I worked all day in the shop and then lost track of time in the company of two lovely men (!) Unfortunately I then discovered that the road home was closed and had to follow a huge diversion - so just got home in time to go to bed! Back in the shop today and finally just got home in time to collapse into bed and see the X Factor results!

With all this going on, I've only managed one prompt - so here goes.

What is watching from the other side of the river?

As this isn't a supernatural story, it has to be something human - someone! A benevolent presence would be nice but a malevolent watcher is more interesting. I now know who the watcher is, but I'm not going to say because it gives too much of the story away! :)

I'm exhausted just reading about your day. Would love to know who the watcher is.

Debs - I'm exhausted too! Spent the whole day thinking I wasn't going to get to the next thing on time which was very stressful!

Wayne - thanks! Mystery solved ;-)

ooh .. a particularly lovely man! Sounds intruiging - almost as much as the watcher:-)

You were on Question Time? It was going to be at my daughter's school a couple of months ago but after 'bidding' they lost out. It's a curious selection process. Was it a good panel?

Hope you've recovered from your running around and glad friend is out of intensive care.

Lane - Question Time was great. As a volunteer for the BBC I go in to talk to the audience about the BBC Trust while they wait to go in to the studio. We're then allowed to sit in the audience as long as we don't say anything! The panel was great, including Ken Clarke who is really very interesting and funny.
